think about your ideal wedding weight!
Celebrity bride Kim Kardashian is reportedly doing everything she can to trim down to an ultra slim size 6 before her wedding day. She works out for a minimum of 2 hours every day and has enlisted top dieticians to help her reach her target.
While it would be nice to have the time and a super sized Hollywood budget to reach our wedding day weight goals, for most of us this simply isn’t possible.
Paul Jabbour, owner of Vision Double Bay is a health & fitness expert and he has given us his top five tips on how to slim down and tone up for your wedding day.
Before breakfast your body is in a state of ketosis and this is the most efficient time to burn fat. You will reach your weight goals much faster if you do your cardio training first thing in the morning.
- Don’t eat for an hour after cardio
Once you’ve done your cardio you should wait for an hour before eating. This forces your body into ketosis, again increasing it’s ability to burn fat.
- Do some resistance training
Resistance training is the most effective way to increase ones metabolism. Support this by eating 5 times a day.
- Increase your lean muscle mass
Not only will increasing your muscle mass help you to burn fat it will also ensure that you maintain your weight loss.
- Cut down on high % alcohol
Cutting out alcohol before your wedding can be challenging especially with all of the pre-wedding celebrations. Rather than judging a beverage on its carbohydrate content, measure it by the % of alcohol it has. Avoiding high % alcohol will help you stay on track to reach your goal weight.
